Venice Gets Its Own ‘Forever Flower’ Shop This November

Flowers are beautiful, but their biggest flaw is that they don’t last. CJ Hendry, however, has a solution that won’t require fresh water or a new vase every week.

The internationally acclaimed Australian artist is bringing her viral Flower Shop pop-up to Venice Beach this November, offering flower enthusiasts a different kind of bloom.

At this limited-time pop-up, passersby will find a curated collection of plush flowers on display for $10 each, along with special variations inspired by Venice itself. If a customer buys nine flowers, they’ll get their tenth forever flower on the house.

The Flower Shop pop-up will be at 6 Rose Avenue from Nov. 8 to Nov. 21 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Hendry’s journey with her forever flowers started in September 2024 for a three-day pop-up installation called Flower Market in partnership with luxury skincare brand Clé de Peau Beauté on Roosevelt Island in New York. The turnout for the installation ended up going over the capacity for the space, causing police to shut down the pop-up on day two. The market was quickly relocated to Industry City in Brooklyn for the final day.

The overwhelming success of the installation led Hendry to create a permanent Flower Shop in Soho, New York, in November 2025, and most recently she opened her second permanent location in Hong Kong just this August.

“There is something extraordinary about the Flower Market – you observe so many people having a really lighthearted, wonderful time, and as a result, you have a wonderful time,” said Hendry in an Instagram post.

Now Hendry is continuing to share her forever flowers through a traveling extension of her stores in a global 14-city pop-up tour from November to December. Along with Venice, Hendry’s work will have temporary takeovers in cities across the country and world, including Paris, Miami, London, Chicago and Sydney.

“Flower Market began as an effort to unite communities around a universally shared joy: flowers. By expanding into Flower Shop, the goal was to share that experience globally, allowing people across various cities to engage with and gather these tactile creations,” said Hendry. “Each locale possesses a distinct atmosphere, and I am thrilled that every temporary installation will feature unique floral variations, distinctive surprises, and a tailored narrative.”

The New York-based artist from Brisbane, Australia, is known for her engrossing and exploratory exhibitions and ultra-realistic drawings. Hendry’s art has reached millions of people online, utilizing her social media platforms to sell her artwork. She originally caught people’s attention for her hyperrealistic pencil drawings that she took hours to complete of luxury goods like Louboutin sneakers, crushed Hermès shopping bags, and Chanel perfume bottles. Through this process, she’s caught the attention of high-profile collectors like Kanye West and Vera Wang.
